Are there any good web sites that consolidate all this information? I have been reading these threads trying to gather up information about these bikes, it just seems like there is no end, more importantly no place to begin. I am in the process of buying an LT of somekind but have hit information/ google overload. It just seems that the deeper I try to research the further away from solid information I get, let alone making the POP UP blocker work over time. I do not mean to whine but the "Brides My Way" site that made it through my system was a little over the top. This is quite likely the best site you can visit. If you have specific questions, post them. I am sure you will get the best information here.

I'm not sure what specifically you're looing for or where, but I believe this is the ultimate web site for the K1200LT. This site has more info on every aspect of the K12. Although it sometimes gets frustrating doing a search here do to the vast amount of info here, you should be able to get any question on the K12 answered here.

Take a look at the technical link which has a Hall Of Wisdom (HOW) area that has archived and sorted info by area. Also there is an accessory area to discuss accessories and vendors, an area that discuss dealers, both good and bad and so on......

If you have specific questions ask away, if not then spend some time becoming familiar with all the info contained in this site. I think you will find that there is no K12 question that hasn't been raised and discussed on this forum. Also this forum will not contribute to pop-up issues on your computer. Good luck in your search......

I hear what you are saying but your idea and my idea of what should be consolidated would be very different.

This site has the most/best info on the LT no exceptions! Use the search and read the FAQs and if you don't find what you are looking for ask a question you will find the members on this site very helpful. With 8,000+ members and a conservative guess is the average years of ownership is at least 1 year you have 8,000 years of experience to draw from - very impressive.

Now you've gone and done it. I wonder how many folks have searched for the, "Brides my Way" site.

I don't really understand the question, but in my opinion, I would not be getting 1/2 of the pleasure I get from my bike if it were not for this web site. The technical information alone allows me to maintain my bike and the understanding of how it all works is invaluable. I have never asked a question from the members and not quickly received an accurate answer. 99% of the members use this site in an adult manner and it is is a pleasure to manner it to others. This is one of the best managed web sites I have ever experienced and I cannot think of one thing I would change.

This is very accurate in my opinion and well said.

I have heard rumors of at least one BMW Tech that will look for LT answers here when Corp doesn't have the info. ;)

I myself would have given up the LT long ago without this site.

Yes, I feel like a moron, I have been trying to delete this thread all day. I must have looked at the FAQ a thousand times and never clicked on it, all that wasted time I could have been out test riding, I apologize to all who wasted their time reading this thread.

IIRC, only the moderators and site admins can delete a thread.
