Very interesting article. The savings from Harley to BMW is incredible.

Hopefully these bikes have the new antenna rings. (Sorry I could not resist).

In Quebec if you see a Harley on the side of the road it's broken down. If you see a BMW watch out cause the officer is doing radar.

What a BMW positive article.

The article says they paid about $20K for the bikes. Just wait until they start farkling out their rides. Another several thousand dollars to Touratech, Wunderlich and the other accessory companies is in the cards.

What a BMW positive article.Obviously brand new motorcycles will aready have the newest ring antenna. As a matter of fact some currently in use authority models are included in the ring antenna replacement program. It takes almost twice as long to change because of the added cooling fans and wiring.

Seems to me that Harley's presence in fleet bikes is not what it used to be, and for good reason. The RTP is a MUCH better bike, and so much more capable bike for that role. I would not be surprised to see more and more departments begin to 86 their hogs.

As much as I would love to say you guys are right about the oil stains being from the H-D's, I can't do it in good conscience.

It looks likes the RT-P had just gotten a bath and was dripping water (see the windshield covered with water drips).

Looks like water drips to me. Besides, everyone knows HD's leave puddles, not drips.

The officer in Montgomery Alabama that was giving me a warning ticket on my GT said they were not too happy with theirs. I think he was really a Harley guy but he said the beemers had given them some trouble.
