While at work, my company bars me from viewing my AOL email but not the email account from BMWLT.com

Is there a way for me to set up my AOL email account to forward copies of my email to the BMWLT account?

I trying to get even with THE MAN! Power to the People!

As a systems administrator for a private family investment company, I also have policies in place that prevent users from accessing outside e-mail accounts, and I also monitor what is coming in through the firewall, and mail servers. In my case, I KNOW how my A/V and anti spam are configured and updated, but I sure can't vouch for anyone else! We are subject to GLB, SEC, NASD and state banking regulators, not much leeway at all!

For my company, first offense is a warning, second time it's out the door. I have way too much to do to put up with someone trying to "Beat the Man". No offense intended, but think about the consequences, and how tough it might be to say "I am sorry honey, I got canned cuz I was reading my aol e-mail at work, even though I knew I wasn't supposed to...."

I have to second that. Be very careful about going around the blocks. Depending on the company this might lead to your dismissal.

The way I have set up my servers and firewalls here, *I* get an email daily that tells me who is trying to go around the protective measures I put in place and when.

The simplest reason for not allowing outside email (there are more and more companies frowning on it is that

a) you might pull in viruses through the backdoor, while normally they would have been caught in the companies email system
b) You are not getting paid for reading your personal email.
c)
d)

Need I say more? Sysadmins generally do not take it lightly if someone tries "to get back" Just a hint from another sysadmin: Don't do it, you are on the loosing side from the beginning.

There's only one thing worse than having an AOL account...
Having an AOL account WHILE you're unemployed! http://www.zx1112.bigbikeworld.com/forum/smilies/eek.gif
