OK so I was in a fog this morning, Sunday is the 8th. But I still have to work. I guess I was trying to find someway to go to the coast instead of work

Are you going to pass thru Napa on your way to the coast? If you are what time and where and I will meet up with you?

We'll probably pass through Calistoga around 11am. You could meet us at 128 and the trail, that might be easiest. This is a loose ride so there's no real time table. If you want to PM me your cel I can call you Sunday morning...

I gave Ted my cell # he is going to call me when they leave Sacramento. PM with your # and I will call when he calls me. Have you thought about what your plans for going to DVD? There has been talk about leaving Thursday and spending the night in Tahachapi.

If Ted thinks he's going to be at the Trail and 128 at 1100, how about meeting for coffee at 1000? The north Starbucks by Nob Hill?

I'm sure we'll stop at the corners for a couple of minutes. You could always meet us there too...

I was thinking about Moskowite Corners, but I didn't want to change any plans you guys already made. As of a few days ago I think Monticello Rd (121) was closed just passed Man with the Pipe. Maybe it's open by now.

What route will you be taking into bodega from Napa, I might just meet up with you all when you hit Sonoma County.

The route is loose and subject to change so it would be best if you met us in Calistoga...

Roger that. Now all I have to overcome is my wife's list of things for me to do. I'll either be there at 1100 or not.

This information is from yesterday. The CalTrans site today, does not list SR1 as being closed north of Jenner anymore. But we weren’t necessarily going that way anyway. Part of SR12 east of the town of Sonoma is closed. The Russian River bridge, on SR128 just east of Geyserville is also closed -- if anyone was going back that way. CalTrans says there are detours.

Looks like, for the most part, we should be okay. But we need to be careful of the slides, runoff, and debris. And our route may need to be flexible.

Looks like Monticello Rd is now open, we should be able to make the Corners to meet.

I think 10:00 will be okay; 20 mins or so for coffee; 10 mins screw around time to potty and get going; maybe 30 mins up Monticello. Figure on meeting the Sacto guys about 11:00. If we're a few minutes late, or they're early, they can wait and BS. Or if not, we know the way to Bodgea Bay. :-)

We'll be meeting Steve "Humplatch" in Santa Rosa at about noon, at Calistoga Road and SR12.

After lunch everyone seemed to go their own way. Steve Humphrey, Mike Miller and I rode to Forestville where I got another bonus pic:

From there Steve and Mike split to Sebastopol. I rode over Mark West Springs Road back into Napa Co., and home. Thanks Ted, and thanks everybody. Good day.

Nancy and I made it home in one piece. Jim (Rockmeister), Nancy and I left Tides and went up Hwy 1 to Stewart's Point and then crossed over on Skagg's Valley Road. TOOOO much fun and some awesome scenery.

We stopped between St. Helena and Napa at the Oakville Grocery store for coffee. Very chic' and full of yummies!. Good coffee and picked up some crab cakes for a light dinner when we got home.... they were excellent! That place is recommended as ride lunch stop.

At our coffee stop, we went ahead and fired up the Gerbings. Nancy was toasty and happy which, of course, means that I was happy as well ;)

A big thank you to Ted for getting us all moving in the right direction.....that being onward.
