I've read stuff on here that say some tires cause severe vibrations when riding without your hands on the bars. Now I ride on Metzlers ME 880, and have no vibrations, and overall happy with the tire, but I want something with a better tread life. I'm too afraid to buy another brand because of the vibration problem, can someone suggest a tire? Or should I just stick with Metzlers?

Metzelers are the longest lasting tires for an LT. If you keep the pressures up, you will be extremely happy with the results. 45psi up front, 50 in the rear. (Shocking?) You can expect to get 12-15K on the rear, and 15-20K on the front. Believe it ... or not. :)

Yup, the Metz 880s are the Mileage Kings! :) But, as you decelerate, and get down near 40mph, many LTs will often start a rapid shaking IF your hands are NOT on the bars. The slightest hand pressure seems to mitigate the wobble.
At cruising speed, their are no issues.
Next time you're on a nice, empty, safe road...just try releasing your grip, SLIGHTLY and you slow down through 40. Even with new tires its likely to occur.

Try doing a computer balance on the front wheel.
This will be another instance where a computer balance is better than static.
