I just uninstalled all of the farkles off of my '06 GT. All that's left to do is put it back together, then detail the snot out of her. She'll be ready to pose for pictures (she's so good at that!) ... then I can start posting her for sale online.
The anticipation in which I speak of is the owning of a new bike. Stripping the farkles off of this one has been a cold slap of reality. Surely a new bike is just around the corner. There's just nothing like that new bike smell. ;)

Have you narrowed down or decided on what the next steed will be? I did an 832 mile day on my GT yesterday inculding 400+ miles of nasty crosswinds and dust storms and I'm felling pretty good about it at this point; Not sure what else would have done as well and left me feeling as good as I did when I got home last night.
But if you're looking for a recommendation, Rob rode that whole way with me on his GS and was very happy... :D

The GS and GT are fine bikes for most weather conditions. I would bet the LT would fare a little better.
I bet the next ride is a C-14, This may be my next choice.

Yea, and when his wrist is falling off from holding that throttle open on 10 hour rides, he'll be saying, "What in the wide world of sports was I thinking?" :crybaby:
Not to mention missing the ESA... :p

That bike does look way hotter in black than the nondescript color it ships in now.

You sure you want a Connie? There was one at track day, and he couldn't outrun me, and I ride like a girl. No more power than my bike in the straights either, which is less than the new GT, so maybe you should rethink??? It is cool looking though....
BTW, where the hell, er, heck, were you last week?

Both colors do equally well throwing engine heat at the rider. :kaboom:

And it has more torque. But it gets better. If you remove the secondary butterflies out of the intake and install a Power Commander III, the C14 will all out SMOKE a GT.
Just stating facts here. But I'm not selling my GT because it lacks HP or speed. It's an amazing bike. In many areas, a much better bike than the Kaw. Obviously. It's just time for a new experience. ;)
BTW, where the hell, er, heck, were you last week?No more CCRs for me. I can't take the week before Labor Day off anymore.

That's been takin' care of. If only BMW would confront their issues like Kawasaki does, maybe I wouldn't been out looking for a Beemer replacement.

That's why, I knew C-14 was not for me (or for Arizona) as soon as I was over with the test ride.

BINGO, I knew that was the reason, and really can't say that I blame you.

How many LT's did it take to get the one you like to ride again....?

I had/have 4 LT so far. Only one that I was afraid to keep was the 05 model due to the head gasket issues that most possibly related to the previous rider's accident. It was fixed after it was at the dealer for 3 times. I am thinking of replacing my 03 LT in a year or two with Blue 07 or 08LT. I am so much in love with my LTs that my eyes do not see any other bike :-) (My wife is jealous)
How do you like your C-14 in Arizona's heat? Do you ride/commute on a daily basis like me?

When one wears proper gear the C-14's heat is acceptably tolerable. :D
As to riding it to work - no. I drive a cage that yields 30 mpg. It's a Honda Accord. For obvious reasons in the cost per mile it wins by a landslide.

Damn. That's nice!
If only BMW would fix their dealer network, and address some of the quality issues... I probably wouldn't be so turned on right now! :D
