Wasn't it Dick that took that picture or was it Stevie? Somebody find that darn thing and post it. It was on one of the threads.
Good memory, David. Matter of fact, that RTE to Bastrop was the first time we met! You poor guy. ;)

We are home!
THANKS FOR ALL THE OFFERS TO HELP US IN CASE OF MECHANICAL PROBLEMS!!!!
I did not not count but believe we had at least 5 different offers to tow and drive us home in case the transmission problem would re-appear. Hard to believe, but our transmission shifted flawless. Whatever happened on the way back from Mirror Lake fixed itself :)
Thanks to Steve for helping with the transmission oil change. I never heard of that fixing a problem, but it seems like it did.
We rode part of the way to Denver with Mark and Linda on Highway 40 following his recommodation. Great road!!
We stopped in Denver and visited with Kids and grandkids. Left after breakfast this morning. What a great way to end a spectectular week.
The ride home was uneventful except driving thru the "Commance Grasslands" now we know what T. Bone Pickens means by "Wind Corridor" we had crosswinds that made our floorboards scrap on a straight road. Emily was real quite back there.. :)
It was so good to see all of you again!
And now off for a killer Margaritas and the BEST Mexican Food.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the pics and it was great seeing y'all again.
We got home on Sunday afternoon after fighting some fearsome winds east of Tioga Pass on CA 120. When I stopped at the stop sign on 395 the wind was so strong that I thought I was going to drop the bike. I must say the GT works better in the cross winds for me than the LT. Met some other riders in Yosemite after negotiating Tioga Pass (V-Strom and R1150GS) and they were talking about the wind as well. Turned out the pass wasn't as bad as the flatter land east of 395.
Ride safe and see you next year in Rapid City!
