I'm a newbie here. Getting ready to put new front tire on 1200 LT.
Do you guys change the stem every time you replace a tire?
Cars last 50 to 100k sometimes, although I know this is a different beast.
And, not sure what size it is. Any ideas? Thanks in advance....

Yes, always replace the valve stem. It's cheap insurance.

I Would by a set of these from any local parts store.
"Extra-low profile and rounded metal valve cap makes this valve a good defense against stubble and other hazards that rip or cut rubber stems in tubeless tires. Locking nut secures valve in valve hole. Packed with two rubber grommets to fit either .453" or .625" rim hole. 1-1/4" overall length with cap on."

Thanks for the input guys.
I've got a new Metzler front tire sitting on the front porch.
Forgot to order a stem with it. Duoh!

I installed Napa part # 90-432 for both my rims almost 3 years back.
