OK, so I'm going to do my own tire changes. I suppose I need an air compressor to get the tire beads to set... and also to fill the tires. Will a 2 gallon unit work? There are a couple I can get on cragislist for $75.00 or less.

Hey,
two gallon should be fine for tires, but, if you want to run any air tools or whatknot in the future, you may want a larger one.
I got a Harborfreight circular (at the house) and I think they had a 8 gallon or so for around $75.00.
If you can swing the larger capacity, you'll be happier :)

I found a 7 gallon that I may be able to negotiate. It's only 1.5 hp. Is that reasonable power for a compressor?
UPDATED INFO:
I have the specs for this
It's a Companion 1.5 hp, 7 gallon, brand new in box:
Item Specifics are as follows:
1.5 HP MOTOR
7 GALLON AIR TANK
DIRECT DRIVE OIL FREE
135 PSI MAX.
3.0 SCFM @ 90PSI
5.0 SCFM @ 40PSI
ASME CERTIFIED SAFETY VALVE
Guy will take $75.00 Sound reasonable?

Get it. It will more than do the job for seating beads and filling tires.
