I don't know what has happened but as of today at least, Fox News is no longer on Sirius Radio. They have reprogrammed the Fox News slot with CNN. Since I don't/won't watch or listen to CNN at home and do my best to stay away from it at the airports, I can't see any reason to listen to it on satellite radio. It now makes sense to change out to a Garmin 376C with XM.

They started advertising a new Fox news (Biased, Of Course) on XM. That may be where it went.

I heard on XM that they (Sirius) did not renew their contract with Fox. This will force a choice between Howard and Fox. I don't see the choice here at all. I wouldn't give up Fox or listen to Howard, so for me personally a no brainer. I feel that this is a statement of some type by Sirius, like a positioning of what they are about. Facts are that they have some miniscule percentage of the market compared to XM and are more money per month. America, I love the freedom to make a choice.

They all put their own spin on things. They all do this by choosing what stories to report on and what aspect of the story they are going to highlight.
The only news source I know of that admits to their biased reporting is NBC. Brian Williams said that they only do stories about the fighting in Iraq because reporting on the good that is being done is too dangerous! Can anyone give me a cogent explanation of that?
Anyone who relies on a single source for their news is not, by any stretch of the imagination, getting a complete and balanced picture of what is going on. It is tough to get a good picture even with multiple sources.

There is no doubt that you are correct here, NCoe--bias is rampant throughout the media. The key is to ensure sourcing is good and the information being presented is accurate. Facts arent difficult to determine with adequate sourcing but the difficulty lies in the manner in which the facts are interpreted and presented as someone's "truth."
Having spent a good portion of my adult life examining sociopolitical policy actions and recommendations, i have learned an awful lot about the methods employed in presenting convincing arguments. Along with my professional life as a policy analyst, I also received my Masters degree in Public Administration and i'm here to tell you, most of the pertinent information all of us need to make informed and intelligent decisions about how to govern a country aren't delivered by ANY media source.
Unfortunately, the required reading is as dry as a popcorn fart and about as difficult to actually find as a single flea on the arse of a Saint Bernard.
Couple this with the average person's busy lifestyle and we're lucky we are operating as well as we currently are, given the often shoddy, incomplete, misleading and occasionally outright erroneous information delivered to us nightly on almost every station in the country....

Indeed--freedom of choice is truly a beautiful thing. However--the choice, at least as I see it, while certainly related to programming--is not at all between Howard and Fox, both of whom matter not one whit to me.
I've been frequently exposed to both services for quite some time now and chose Sirius over XM a couple of years ago primarily because i find their overall programming more suited to my tastes. This trend of better programming--at least IMHO--has continued to today.
While both services offer similar programming, there are just some stations on Sirius i feel provide better overall content than XM.
Interestingly, my father in law, who retired after 30 years as the Shreveport, LA plant manager at General Motors--and who has XM in his pickup--recently showed me the 1,000 shares of Sirius stock he had purchased. When I asked him why he went with Sirius but listened to XM he stated, "it's where the money will be."
Hmmmm.
