Many of you know I lost my camera last April at Barbour. I was there for the AMA Superbike Races. Man was I bummed till 2 day ago when I got the message.....

I received a called from a BMW rider in Alabama who found a Cannon camera while at the Barber Motorsports Museum in Birmingham. He is trying to find the owner. The camera is unregistered but he did find a picture of a BMW, he believes it’s a K bike, with a shark’s mouth and eye (like the old Flying Tigers) painted on the fairing. He’s hoping that the bike in the picture may be the owners or belong to someone who was with him at the museum. If you know of someone who has a BMW motorcycle with such a paint job, or was with someone who went to the museum, you can contact Ralph Ambrose at ambrose@hiwaay.net. Ralph’s going to a lot of work to try and find the owner of this camera. Let’s hope someone can help him out.

I E-Mailed Ralph with my cel #, well he called today and my camera with "ALL" the pitcures I took are on the way home  It's good to know someone at there cares and will go the "EXTRA " miles to help. :D

Well you would think it was Grif's but NO!!!! it was Dave Hanson's bike. He was the one that Grif worked with to make the first "Shark" decal. He had one on his bike and we parked net to each other at the races so I took a picture of it. Big thanks to all involved in this attemp to get my camera back. Grif and Kevin (KeVRod TX) where the made ones on this end :wave

Another story with a happy ending!
There are still a lot of good people in the world.

I had an incident on my boat a couple of weeks ago.
We took two boats out to the island I had 49 on my boat 40 on the other one.

Upon return several groups stacked their belongings at the end of the ramp
near the gate and used the facilities.

One person in one group picked up a camera bag (identical to theirs) and left.

The second party was very upset when they realized their camera bag was missing, in it was a video camera,
cell phone, checkbook, credit card and $500. cash.

We searched everywhere then I got the idea to call the cell phone,

They had already discovered their mistake (20 miles up the interstate)
and had called the phone number on the checkbook (in Minnesota)

They were on their way back to the marina
and ten minutes later their camera bag was returned,
whew!!
