Well the Debster and I are back in San Antonio and it sure is nice. Weather was pretty pleasant in MO with temps well above freezing and very little rain while we were around. Between eating and meeting I didn't accomplish much of a productive nature but was able to handle a few of the chores around my parent's farm--the same place where my dad was born 80 yrs ago.
BTW, I saw a dark LT someplace around Liberty IIRC, maybe on 152, or maybe on 45 near Weatherby Lake. Anyone want to take credit for such an act?
And finally on the way up shortly after hitting 210 at around 1:45 am on Christmas morning, after about 12 hours of driving steady and safe, a Clay county sheriff noted I was traveling 74 in a 55 just short of the next county east and he took the joy out of my holiday. Seems my F-150 and I have an appointment on the 25th of 2006 in Liberty. Any ideas on how such adventures will play out? The paper I was handed didn't provide any "by mail" options and my attorney friends in the area don't like me.:o
Well Happy New Year to all of ya.

Welcome back, y'all. Hope you had a fine Xmas on the farm and a good round-trip (notwithstanding the award --- you did wish he and his county CFO a *Very* Merry Xmas, right?!! :( ).
I dropped by your end of the storage unit and left a plate of cookies and a glass of whole milk for St Nick. He apparently didn't leave any presents, but the plate and glass were gone, as wuz the "Smithsonian qualified" coffee pot we used to use!!! Good riddance on the coffee pot, butt I liked that Xmas motif plate!! Shucks! ;)
BTW - the Goat seems to have a water pump ailment, so if it's in your way, just push it. I'll get that taken care of 'soon' - after I git Hank to fix Toad's leaking rear brake line --- sigh, sigh, sigh. Merry Xmas to me!!!
Well, I hope you and the county Sheriff up there in Clay county get your differences wrapped up without too much inconvenience. Too bad you don't have a pro bono attorney friend up there - course 19 over wuz .... unhh ... shall we say; rather attention-getting!!! :D :D

Welcome back y'all! You might call the court house and ask the clerk about deferred adjudication. The fee is the same, but the charge will be dismissed if you don't get another ticket in their county in some time period, usually 90 days. That way it's not on your record. They don't advertise it, but most will accept it.
Hope to see y'all soon!

Just a note on the Ticket dismissal thing, If you get ticketed on your M/C you can use one of the MSF (BRC or the ERC) courses to get it dismissed, same as defensive driving course that will dismiss a ticket if you are in you car.

I wish I'd read this before we got together at Griff's, I'da given you my .03 since I used to be 'in the business' of taxing those with heavy foot.....
Any hoo, if you dont plan on going back to Clay county again, dont worry about it. If you do, then a call to the prosecutor's office with a plea for mercy is in order. Give them the whole thing about Christmas day, long day, no traffic, etc...cant hurt.
Look the ticky over carefully, see if there are any 'serious' errors such as date, location, etc. Might help (Sheriff's dep's dont usually work much traffic and are prone to making mistakes.)

:
ET, from what posted as date, that prolly was me as I ran all over the place all Xmas week b4 and after the big day. I live in the Weatherby lake area, actually Riss lake in Parkville, and often travel Liberty way on 152 to visit with friends.

Jon, I'd like to connect sometime when we're up there. Weather was pretty fine for riding that week as I recall. I'd like to find a GS for running around when I'm down at Richmond at my parent's place.
I guess I'll just have to deal with Clay County via a phone call and see what I can work out. Can't really avoid it.
