Sandar the mag and I will fly into NYC, Monday the 11th, getting there about 10pm at LaGuardia.

We have a meeting the next day at 160 Broadway. Then we'll play tourista till departure, Saturday the 16th.

I went to Expedia and typed in NYC hotels and am completely overwhelmed.

Can y'all give me a hint where to stay? After the meeting I'm sure we'll do some cultural stuff (read: wife=shopping and I really pray I don't have to see a play, or musical, or some such stuff).

Also, where shouldn't we go? Keep in mind that I'm a simple South Tejas country boy. BTW, I know I can't bring my pistol, is a small (less than 4" blade) lock blade knife ok?

..Hotels in the big apple, it's a well known issue. It's kind of late but, I might be able to help you. I used to live in NYC and worked as a Tour Guide over there, still got some ties.... so maybe ...

I've stayed at this one 4 or 5 times with I go on the 911 Ride. Very nice place and you pay form it too. Just about 5 blocks from Time Square if I remember right. If you stay until Sunday you'll get to see this years 911 ride come in. Right now there are about 500 bike registered. We should be arriving around 1700 hrs. this coming Sat.

Grif I have stayed at the Sheraton, Hilton, Royalton and a couple of others. The way I have always found a great price is on Priceline or Hotwire. Stayed at the Hilton for $99 per night and the Sheraton for $120. I will PM my phone number if you want me to walk you through it.

The hardest part was to figure out which part of town to stay in. We stayed in Midtown and hung around mostly in the south. Duh. Oh well, excellent subway system!!
