I have been doing a mass farkle install over the holidays. I have gotten to the air compressor and I am having a problem finding air hose for the fitting on the Thomas compressor. It is a 1/4" push-in quick connect fitting. You just push the bare hose into the fitting. Anyone know of a good source for the air line?

None of the hardware or automotive stores seem to carry anything that will work. I think I need 1/4" OD air line and everything seems to be 1/4" ID.

This was a hard to find item for whatever reason I saved the bag and here are the specs.

Coilhose Pneumatics,
is the name of the manufacterer
East Brunswick NJ or McMinnville OR
They do not sell retail, you'll have to call them and find a distributer in your area.
part number N18-15B

I removed the existing fitting from the compressor (Thomas) that I bought and replaced it with a barbed fitting I got at Lowes. They also had some high pressure line. This might work for you too.

I did the same, removed that fitting, installed a 1/4" tubing compression fitting from any hardware store. From there I ran 1/4" plastic tubing, tie wrapped it to the frame under the seat with a 1/4" quick connect on the end. I carry a 12' 1/4" coiled air hose from NAPA or any truck stop. Most of the time it stays connected & lays on top of the battery.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I found a local distributor for Coilhose Pneumatic and ordered an N18-15B. I already have the compressor wired and mounted so all I need to so is install the hose when it comes in.

I didn't like mine laying on top of the battery so I came up with a simple solution that works for me and may for you.
Looking around for something in my garage I found a bicycle sport bottle and dropped the coiled hose right into it, I pulled the hose through the lid and set the bottle behind the battery, easy and cheap.

Great idea Hans. I am going to try the water bottle.

I got the 1/4" tubing from Lowes. I used refridgerator water hose. Someone on the site suggested it and it slipped right in the the fitting that came on my Thomas compressor. Bought the slip in fitting which I screwed my open air chuck from NAPA and I was ready to go. CHEAP too.

Good point, make sure the air chuck you use is a normally open air chuck. If not, if someone turns on the compressor without it hooked to the tire you will blow up the hose.

Could a couple of you that have installed a compressor, please, post the model number of the compressor you installed.

Thanks.

There are two sizes, Thomas 115 and 215, the latter is more powerful,
here's a link with a picture (not the best price)
