Is the F800GS ever going to be available in the US? Im dying to get a second bike and have waited patiently through all the hype but have yet to see one much less ride one. I hate to go with a different brand if at all possible. Does anyone have any information?

The target release date has been September/October of this year since about February. Nothing has changed on that from what I've heard.

My dealer up here in Tacoma emailed me that their demo should arrive in the next week or two. Bikes for sale should be flowing in soon after.

The dealer here in St Louis has a waiting list of at least 10 buyers with deposits down for the GS800.
I don't know how many he's going to get, but if you are really interested you might see if there is a waiting list.
I think I'll stay w my old 1100.. I just could not stand dropping a brand new bike..

A friend got an email from his dealer this week advising him that his 800GS had been built and was being shipped. He put a deposit down months ago.
