If it is a disbarred attorney turned preacher named Phelps, yes.
His church is now picketing at the funerals of children killed in automobile accidents. A prince of a guy. Google "Phelps preacher nut" and read about him.

If that's what it means to be "christian", I have it all wrong... and won't join or support that guy's Klan.

When did Osama Bin Laden learn English?
Religious fanatics are scarey, no matter what faith they espouse.

Sorry to admit it but he is a product of my State. The Patriot Guard was also founded here! A member of my church, is the one who got him disbarred for life! Unfortunately half his family are lawyers. His church members are mostly made up of his family and inlaws.
A real screwed up bunch of head cases and I would not consider their theology as Baptist or Christian. Please don't judge us Christian's by the actions of the westboro cult!
We had a memorial service for a fallen soldier at my church. We were almost certain that Phelps and gang would show up. They didn't but around 250 Patriot Guards did(each with an American Flag) and completely cordoned off the church from any attempt of protest. All those flags!!! there wasn't a dry eye in the place!

Seriously folks, I'm about as far from religion as you can get, but even I (gasp) know these people (I use that term losely) are nutcases.
anyone trying to compare these bozo's "religion" to folks who earnestly believe in their religion is mistaken  Even the un-religious right has to know better than that.
nothing that $.50 cents and a good scope wouldn't cure

Christianity can be manipulated to justify anything one desires to do. Its strength and durability are found in its flexibility.

So, are you one of his followers?
because that statement is about as ignorant as the BS he's preaching!
Anybody that preaches hatred
is not following the teachings of the man whom the religion was named after.
No matter how much Scripture he can quote!

I am not one of his followers. I was just posting my thoughts on how Christianity is used to incite emotions to justify a broad spectrum of acts. These range from charitable goodness to mass murder. It all depends on who is interpreting the word.

These bozos showed up at a funeral for a vet and glad we had the Patriot Riders there as well and I can tell you that the PR won.
One other thing I can say about these lunatics, they aren't Christians!

We have been very lucky in the Houston area. We have had some big name (translation: News worthy) soilders we had to bury, but our local media has vowed not to give his church or it's radicals the time of day. If they show up and we (the P.G.) are there, their cameras and stories are on us and not them. Didn't take many of those episodes before they just stopped coming to Houston. All they want is the media exposure and Houston won't give it to them. Now if the networks would adopt the same policy that bunch would soon fizzle out.

Wow...this guy makes perfect sense. All these natural disasters, war, school shootings and the like are all because God hates fags. Why couldn't I see that before? Really, I can't blame God for hating fags...I really don't like British cigarettes either....

Do you think his congregation wears these t-shirts? Warning, some may find it offensive. Others may find it funny.

Saw some sort of documentary on this group of a-holes and if you were a son or daughter of that lunatic and left the commune you no longer exist to "Dad".
All I can say is his is consistently certifiable.
In the America I know, this is,and should be, allowed.
This doesn't mean we can't harass them with all available means. :D :D

I'll tell you what, I've been to some PG protected funerals over the last couple years, only one of which was attended by the Westboro idiots. The things they were screaming were INSANE, however, what was (is) really scary is the passion they showed - no terrorist or gangster or whatever could ever be as scary as a true believer - and whatever the hell they believe in, they REALLY believe in it. It shouldn't be allowed anywhere to protest at a funeral, and frankly, I'm surprised someone hasn't been killed yet at one. The PG does a service that is really needed, if you have the time available, join up and attend the funerals.

It all started (he began hating fags) for the insane preacher when he was in law school.
He got a new room mate in the dorm, and figured he was gay because his dick tasted like s***! :D

Amen to that. Lesson: be willing to doubt and examine your own beliefs, or you'll wind up like these nutjobs.

"But how has it happened that millions of fables, tales, legends, have been blended with both Jewish and Christian revelation that have made them the most bloody religion that ever existed."
-John Adams, U.S. President
Even Adams knew that examining ones own beliefs appals Christians because reasoning and common sense challenge faith based religion(s).
