Anyone doing a valve adjustment? I would like to sit in on one before I attempt one. I'm in the San Antonio area.

Woody,
I'm wanting to tear into mine but not sure of the turn around time yet. And I'd like to have a solid idea as I can't stand to think of pulling the pickup into a gas station.
I'm finding my bike is getting hard to start immediately after a ride. Let it rest for awhile and its good to go. Not sure if its valves but they do need to be checked I reckon.
Going to be at *$$ Friday?

Can't make the CCR this year! Steve in my absence, you will have to carry on the dubious traditions I have established. I can't mention them by name but the Blues Brothers renditon of "Soul Man" is but one.
Oh! back to the point. Rick and I both need the valve demo.

While it won't hurt to check the valves, the hard starting when hot is probably not related. I have found that if I give the throttle a quick twist before starting that I don't have the problem.

I remembered that on the worst one at a gas stop last weekend. No luck to make it start. Let it sit for a few minutes after trying and it fired right up. It was a fairly hot day and we were doing a lot of slow road riding and I figured that had something to do with it as well.

BTW - for a demo valve *check*, stay tuned. I've got all the parts and pieces together for Rocky's 24K, which will include the valve check. Be glad to have an onlooker crowd in the bleachers, if y'all are interested. It might be this coming weekend, as Rocky wants to go to the RTE on the 9th and we should do the service at least a week before.
I'll letcha'll know as soon as I hear from him, and a date is set.

I am available on Sunday if you guys can fit it in. I have another event which I must attend on Saturday which I cannot get out. Of course, we will have to see about my muffler problem first. If I cannot resolve I will have to postpone the service work till the 9th and forgo the RTE. I should know by friday on the muffler situation.
