Sorry but this is a problem not to damage a new rim.

How dose one change a tire with out scratching with the rim.. When one has a puncture? Can any one give me some sound advice please? :bmw:

Note that I would go to a tire shop to have it done but even there is a danger of damaging the rims..

It's a GS  :histerica

I'm guessing you must have the alloy rims instead of spokes. Just use some rim protectors, or get a No-Mar bar. I'm not sure if it is possible to buy a No-Mar bar in Argentina. I change my tires now with spoons and plastic pieces to protect the rim.

TKS NEIL.. SORRY ITS A GSA WITH SPOKES...

I WILL LOOK INTO WHAT YOU SAY.. BUT AS THE RIMS ARE BLACK THEY MARK VERY EASILY. :bmw:

Were the wheels spray painted black? I thought hard about just spray painting mine, because I like the look. Tube tires make it a lot easier to change tires.

Use a few pieces of leather or cut up a plastic bottle.

Again, its a GS, take it out after changing the tire and give it a proper dirt covering with a brake dust chaser.
