I have a 2005 K1200LT which has developed a clutch slip, such that at any speed in 4th and 5th gear when I increase the throtel the RPM increases however the bike does not excelerate. With normal excelleration you can feel the weak clutch in any gear.

I had it in for the 40,000 KM check, which includes all fluid check and change. This included the clutch fluid and if I remember there has been threads on the clutch fluid leaking and getting on the clutch.

There was a transmission seal leak allowing fluid into the rear drive, this was fixed. I am wondering if the trasmission fluid could get to the clutch. The slipping started with in the following week and about 4000 KM after the repair.

I have stopped riding untill I can get it into the shop, which is next week.
It is under warranty, so the pain will not be so serious.

Most likely a failed slave cylinder....or main seal or other seal... Warranty will fix the seal but sometimes they like to ding you for the clutch...

You get to fight the new clutch fight.. Good Luck..

Hopefully your dealer is not a stealer..

I will let you know, they just changed the clutch slave fluid a week prior. If they want to argue the clutch I think I have a good argument.
