I have a 2005 K1200LT which has developed a clutch slip, such that at any speed in 4th and 5th gear when I increase the throtel the RPM increases however the bike does not excelerate. With normal excelleration you can feel the weak clutch in any gear.
I had it in for the 40,000 KM check, which includes all fluid check and change. This included the clutch fluid and if I remember there has been threads on the clutch fluid leaking and getting on the clutch.
There was a transmission seal leak allowing fluid into the rear drive, this was fixed. I am wondering if the trasmission fluid could get to the clutch. The slipping started with in the following week and about 4000 KM after the repair.
I have stopped riding untill I can get it into the shop, which is next week.
It is under warranty, so the pain will not be so serious.
