If it isn't radar then what is it? In the Portland metro area we have "photo radar" at intersections and in roving vans. The problem is my V1 doesn't pick up any radar or laser from most of them. I called Valentine to see what they are using that the V1 is not equipped to pick up. Their reply is, "reader boards are using FM technology that is not 'legal' for speed enforcement.". Gee, I wonder if Valentine told law enforcement that! I questioned their reply and they keep saying the same thing. They even told me that my V1 might be "off frequency and that I should send it in for a check. I informed them that I pick up all bands in different places and under different circumstances. Still the same lame reply.:( I also questioned their assertion that using FM radio waves is "illegal" for law enforcement to use. They have nothing to back this up other than their "word.":histerica
Anyone else have this issue in their local? I wish Valentine would back up their statements with facts, and if indeed it is not legal for law enforcement to use this stealth technology then it should be exposed for what it is. I just have a hard time believing that it is "illegal" or it would have been stopped a long time ago.:confused:
