I have read most of the threads and still am not completely sure of what cable(s) I need to hook up my Ipod Nano Shuffle. I want to remove the factory CD player (bike is a 99'). Seems I read recently someone purchased the needed parts at Bestbuy. Does anyone know what I need to get to completely do this (part number or specific name of cable{s})? I would like to get them at Bestbuy instead of ordering, since I have time to do it this weekend. Everyone said it is easy, that the most time consuming thing is taking out the CD player.
Thanks.......

The part you want is the Dension ice>Link Plus. The model number is 120-BMW-T, but it is the same unit used on the BMW 3-series and Mini cars.
Note the units sold at Best Buy come with a large cradle connector, which may not fit well with your iPod Shuffle. If you order from Dension (http://www.dension.com/main.htm), you can get the ice>Link with a dock cable which should work with your shuffle.
This would plug in to the two small cables in the right saddlebag (instead of the CD changer). The other end plugs into the dock connector on your Shuffle. That should allow you to control the Shuffle using the radio controls on the handlebars.
Note that Dension now offers an ice>Link Lite version that plugs directly into the back of the radio (instead of into the factory CD changer wires). I don't know if this will work on the LT's radio, but I suggest you call Dension and ask. If this does work, then you can tuck all the wires above the radio head and put the Shuffle into the oddments box, making for a neat and clean solution.

Thanks so much for the info Ken. I may just go ahead and get from Denison if the Best Buy cradle is too large. I'll check today. Thanks again.
