Harley Davidson hasn't had a innovative idea in decades. they take a 50yr. old front end of one model put it on a 40yr. frame design of another model. 30yr. old fenders and tank from another model. 20yr. old engine/tran. give it a fancy paint job,add 20 lbs. of chrome,raise the price $3,000 and viola! you have a new alphabet soup model for the coming year.

In the SALES world, what Harley has done for decade is known as SELLING THE SIZZLE .... not the steak.

If the consuming brain washed masses really caught on they were buying into an old steak re-tenderized and re-packaged year after year the brand loyalty would weaken.
But then again just as a lot of mass driven fads of amercana, it's just to intoxicating too be one of the cool people "hangin and riden" with others who feel the same way.
