planning a day trip/ RTE to Battleground, IN to visit the Wolf Park for the Chicago Region BMW.
Does anyone know of a unique diner with a specialty(Hoogies, Gyros, who knows) near there?
Thanks for the help.

Google brought up this (http://www.battleground.in.gov/) real quick, and there are prolly other URLs for Battle Ground as well.
Good luck, David. Say "Hi" to the nephew!!

I went to MOA WY. Where were you??????
Battleground is actually a suburb of Lafayette, IN.
Just looking for a dive which has a unique food offering - to entice more bikers to ride and take a tour of the Wolf Park. Met the manager on one of my dog rescue transfers. Neat woman with much experience with animals.

There is a Bar in Battleground called TC's. They have really good Prime Rib, Steaks, and Chops. Not to far from there is a place called The Trails. It is more of a banquet hall, but they do have Buffett's on the weekends and Sunday's. The previous post was correct about Battleground being close to Lafayette. There some pretty good places to eat in Lafayette and West Lafayette. Not to far North of Battleground is the little town of Brookston, and there is local bar there called the Top Notch that has pretty good Steaks--but they only serve limited hours. Send me an email if you have any specific places of types of food. There are a couple of LT riders on here from Lafayette (myself and Billd), so if you know when you are going to be going to Wolf Park, drop us line and maybe we can meet you for dinner.

Barry is on his way to Lake of Ozarks to play with a bunch of his cop friends.
Last time, you took my LT and all of the license plates were stolen.
Someone wanted to get even.

Dave, I have to agree with jrlakin TC's in Battleground qualifies as a special small spot with good food and drink. Also if you are coming out this weekend I understand that nearby is a steam power festival just down the road .. and of course the Battleground park will be open .. Let Jim or I know and one of us might be able to meet you. Always looking for other LT riders in the area.

What I am looking for is a luncheon spot with something special - but good food and it doesn't have to be at Battleground. Can be north or west with plans to have a private tour of the Wolf Park with the chief animals taker. She is a dog rescue person whom I have met.
Basically, I appoint a spot to eat at 1PM on Sat or sun. Not a group ride - many join up with others from their locale but then meet at the diner.
Wolf Park just a bonus then everyone does his thing afterwards.
