Took a lunch time ride with a workmate who was interested in trying out the R12RT. No problem. Wouldn't mind toying with a K12GT myself. What a smooth ride. I was seriously impressed. Gobs of power, no torque twist (that's what I call the R's inane ability to twist to the left around the center of gravity on a sudden crack of the throttle... :D ) and simply "smooth", all over smooth. My only problem with it all was getting back to work. Well, that and ergo... One large deciding factor with going RT in the first place was ergonomics. I couldn't see myself being comfortable after an hour sitting on the K. Put that motor on the R and yes, I would have zero problem with the bike, although I wouldn't ever want to give up that boxer either.

Bottom line - I'm thrilled with my RT as an all around comfort, sport, tourer. I'm not likely to give that up for anything else. BUT - that's not to say I wouldn't ever give in to something else as an "addition" to the stable. Oh yes, - that K would be a first addition, no doubt. :bmw:
