Forgive me if I violate posting protocol, this is my 1st post.
I have a 2004 LT that I bought '3' months ago.
I Love the bike, but I'm disturbed by my inability to get sound from either the front or back speaker on the left side. This holds true for the CD player as well as the radio. I've played with the BALance with no change in behavior.
Any tips would be appreciated. I just ordered videos that show me how to crack open this LT egg.
Thanks.

disconnect the battery for a few hours, might reset the radio. or it is the amps in the radio which go out frequently, no fix for that other than buying a new radio. Bring More Wallet.

More than likely there is a bad connection to your speakers. It would be worth pulling the tupperware, including the stingray and applying dielectric grease to each of the connections to the stingray.
Another explanation is that the left channel power amp of your radio system are blown, which as I understand it can be difficult to get repaired.

I had this problem w my right speakers. Connections looked good, it was my stereo. I didn't want to spend the $$$ on a new one so I bridged the left with the right :|

Make a fist and firmly strike the lower left corner of the stingray. That is where the connection to the speakers resides. Ultimately, remove the tupperware and check the connections adding the dielectric grease before reassembly.

OK, but Where on the LT is the "stringray"? Thanks.

The stingray is essentially the top of the tupperware where the radio control buttons are. If you remove both the left and right sides of the tupperware the remaining top piece is somewhat in the shape of the stingray, thus the name. (My description of removing the tupperware oversimplifies what is involved to remove the stingray if that's what you want to do.)
The stingray has the radio/stereo electronics package attached to it. A number of cables lead to the stingray and connect to the electronics package there.
