Sitting here reading about the GT vs LT and choice of other bikes and am wondering!

How would you go about beefing up the "Brick" motor?
Bore the cylinders? How much?
Rework the heads? or swap with another, GT,S?
Change the cam?
rebuild the tranny, change gears?
would the final drive take the power? or would it need to be swapped with GT,S?

Has anyone gone to this extreme?

Just a few thoughts, guess I am bored!

If it was a GM 350 I would know what to do to it.

You've got to be kidding. Unless you have an unlimited budget it's just a waste of time/effort to consider. Do a search and see the basic rejection threads on trying to do this. I think you'll see it's not cost effective.

Far better to just buy a newer model ('05 and up) as it will be cheaper. Or wait for the new one in 2010.

WOW That was short lived! I guess I am a pervert! One dream car is a Miata with a Mustang V8 installed! Monster Miata (http://monstermiata.com) My last hotrod was a 78 Nova with a 350 =425 hp. My son and I were building it for the Power Tour East.
It met disaster one day as it started drizzling and met a power pole.

I guess I am just weird!
