Seems like the problem reaches farther than you think. I took the bike out for 5 hours yesterday and only saw 2 other riders, and they were Harleys!

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger out there; Great weather for riding this morning and I didn't see another bike on the road.

The girlfiriend and I rode from Madison, WI to Sioux City, IA to visit my parents over the holiday weekend.... 30 degrees in Madison and a balmy 45 in Sioux City. Great ride, the gf was scared of the cold, but I had her prepared with gerbings and a-stitch gear.
The only other rider we saw on HWY 20 across Iowa was a winger and his girl. We had lots a strange looks and comments about the weather/riding.
Freezing drizzle now though....:(
Take care fellow midwesternians!!

after puking my guts out all week in Colorado thanx to the gift of the flu and missing out on the 70 degree riding weather, I got home to the wonderful 40 degree gloom of Indy and just had to go for a ride. Both the LT and the knucklehead were treated to a trip to the car wash and then a dry-off ride. Nothing special but it felt great to be taking air into my lungs rather than expelling things into porcelain recepticles for a change.

I hate it when that happens and especially when there's ridin weather outside! Glad you got to blow some of the cob webs out of both the bikes and I am hoping to do some of that myself today. ;)

Thanx, it felt good yesterday but felt even better this morning riding to work. Between the light rain (mandatory since I washed the bike yesterday) and the holiday weekend, I had to interstate to myself all the way to work! Ahh, life is good (other than that WORK part!).

I have to agree.. A couple days ago here in Lafayette the temp hit 55!! I had to get out for a bit.. sand, gravel and more, not withstanding.. I may spend the next 2 days cleaning up but it was worth the ride.!!!. A ride in January unless it is on a snowmobile or in the cage is the norm. Waiting on the next chance! AND SPRING.
