People,
It looks like New Year’s Day will give us somewhat of a break from the rain. The current forecast for Sunday is cloudy with a 20% chance of showers. That’s probably as good as we can hope for this time of year. Rider’s who wish to meet in Napa for coffee, then ride to Alice’s, here’s the deal:
Meet at 0830 for coffee at the south Napa Starbucks, 253 Soscol Ave. Split about 0900.

I figure 29 to Am Can Road to w/b 80. Over the Bay Bridge, south on 280 to 84, then up to Alice’s. Maybe 90 minutes. I have Fastrak, so I won’t be stopping for the bridge toll. Remember it’s $3. http://users.telenet.be/eforum/emoticons4u/mad/1106.gif
Loose ride, ride your own pace, it’s not going to be a tight formation. Everyone is responsible for getting himself or herself to Alice’s. Junction of 84 & 35 near Woodside. If I can get a KP I'll join you. Alice's is only about 60 minutes from my house at that time of day on a Sunday.
It's our anniversary so the Mrs. may want to join in, or not, or not even allow me! Who knows. Meebe I'll see you there or meebe not.
Cheers!

Gary - I got the KP so I'm free and the Mrs. wants to stay home and watch the 49ers (imagine that!) so if the weather is decent (rain predicted as of now) then I'll definitely be going. Pray to the weather gods... :p
Cheers!

Hello from the high ground on the east side of Napa. Ted’s been to my house, he knows you ride uphill to get to my place. That’s a good thing today. The fairgrounds on the other side of Silverado Trail from me, is under a couple feet of water. So, I went out to my garage and looked at the IBA license plate frames on my LT & RT. They read: “Worlds Toughest Riders”. Then I looked again, it didn’t read anything about “Worlds Dumbest Riders”.
Tomorrow the rain is suppose to lessen, but it won’t be stopping, and the flood warnings might still be in effect. That’s not to mention that many of the interstates in the bay area are flooded, and the possibility of localized flooding and mud slides on the peninsula. And I could be called in to work if it gets bad enough. Short answer: we better call off the ride.
Weather.com is calling for sun next Saturday. Of course we know how that can change. Just this past Wednesday, New Year’s Day was supposed to be only cloudy. But, maybe, we can do a RTE next weekend. Perhaps BBQ at Ludy’s? I liked that place last time we were there. John, it’s in Woodland http://users.pandora.be/eforum/emoticons4u/happy/010.gif. Let's give it a few days, see how the weather goes, and if anyone feels up to it.

bob ... you want to try a breakfast run to san mateo sunday morning? if it looks good maybe we can tour skyline after breakfast. may be damp but there's not likely to be any flooding up in the foothills. i might even be able to get rasters to come along.
as i write this, 3:35 p.m. saturday, the sun is peeking through the clouds.

Well the Sun has been out all afternoon here and it's up over 60 degrees. It's not suppose to rain tomorrow until the afternoon and Tom PMed me and said he would still meet us for coffee at Starbucks in Napa.
If it's dry in the morning, I'll be heading out from Eppies in West Sac at 0800.
Meet Tom at Starbucks about 0900 in Napa, that is unless he gets called in.
