My wife's 2000 323ci has just been diagnosed with this:

ARRGHH!!!
Can anyone recommend a good local (N. Texas) independent shop that works on BMW cars? The two I've tried so far are Import Autos in Grapevine, and Eurosport Automotive in Dallas. Both seem decent but will only offer a full transmission swap as an option. I need someone willing to just replace the reverse drum.

Hey, Todd - they're not in N. Tejas, butt - give Rhinewest (exclusive Bimmer shop) in San Antonio a call (210-826.0014) and ask for Jim or John; tell 'em what the deal is and if they have any associations with shops up in your area. Sometimes, there is a lot of reciprocal advice/recommendations among shops and they may have a line on someone for ya. Won't help at all, but mention me anyway!! ;)
Good luck, Todd.
