Anyone had any EXP experience, I have gone through several of the Standard Tourances and like them. I was thinking of trying the EXP.

Dave

I should add that the next 15,000 miles will be primarily on road.

Anyone had any EXP experience?

Yes, and I'll be going back to the original Tourances, if they don't discontinue them.

The EXPs don't feel any different and they don't stick any better, yet they wear out far quicker than my Tourances did.

New, the Tourance EXPs have less tread depth than the original Tourances.

The EXPs are a step back in my opinion.

Are there Street Tires for the R1200GS?

Sure lots of people use street rather than dual sport tires. HERE (http://www.r1200gs.info/forum/showthread.php?t=15) is a survey of popular tires that is on R1200GS.info.

The EXPs are a step back in my opinion. That was my concern - I may be buying 3 rear and 2 fronts - just in case the original is discountinued.

Metzler makes the Roadtec Z6 in the right sizes but I have no experience with them.
Front Tire 110/80 x 19 tubeless, Rear Tire 150/70 x 17 tubeless

I was going to give the Conti Highway Attack a try. The dealer says that they have different rubber compounds across the road surface tire patch which gives increased wear without compromising grip. I am going in to get the tires changed on Friday. Anyone else tried these, or are the Tourances the way to go?

I had increased wear on the EXP then my Tourance on my trip to Alaska. 3800 miles and they looked like they could of made it maybe 2K more. This was on a combination of dirt and road. I will be going back to the Tourance.
