This is sad I know, but has anyone found a simple solution to inflate the tires. With the brake disc and abs gear for the front and poor access on the rear, I cannot seem to find a garage hose to fit on properly. Anyone come up with a remedy?

I have an OFFICIAL BMW 90 degree brass screw on stem - that you are NEVER ;) supposed to leave on the tire since it can weaken the rubber stem and cause it to fail prematurely. Probably good advice.
Best bet:
Buy some metal valve stems that have a 45 degree bend - not only will it make airing the tires easy but you'll never have to worry about the rubber stem failing - which has happened many times.

Better yet:
Buy a GT. They finally figured out that it is a good idea to have the stems mounted at an angle!

I carry the EZ Tire Gage. Check the link in my signature. I can attach it to the stem just fine and then use the garage hose through it. It also ensures I use the same gage for each fill.

I've faced the same conundrum.
What I need is a true 90deg air chuck. Searching the web came up with nothing except for a dual (big bore and small bore) 90deg chuck, but it looks like a "T" on the end and may have the same clearance problem.

I did find an AccuGage that has a true 90deg chuck. That would help to check pressure at least. google "Accu-gage RA60X"
There are also valvestems with 90deg bends in them. I have one on my Shadow, but it also has a support to hold the stem up when centrifugal force would try to bend it down. I think I've also seen a thread-in stem with a 90deg bend in it. That may hold up okay.

I use it too and like it best. Sometimes it just doesn't want to stay on, but it is by far the easiest to use and once it is on, you simply add air and read it at the same time.
