Audio Help!

I have performed a search of this site (whew!) and I'm now more confused than ever. Some of you guys must work for NASA or perform brain surgery on a regular basis. Of course....then there are several guys like myself. Believe me, I don't look as stupid as I am!
I own an '03 LT and LOVE this bike. It has the 6-CD changer however it does not have an intercom system or a means of "plugging in" a helmet to listen to music/radio. I would love to be able to do this....I am open to either convert to a wired system or bluetooth (if available). I really enjoy the fact that the stereo compensates volume for bike speed and would like to retain this feature.
I am sure someone on this site has accomplished this...hopefully without taking out a loan. I am open for any suggestions. Thanks.

In the absence of other suggestions, you can achieve what you need with a Starcom. I have been delighted with mine, having owned the Advance and now the Digital.

I have an autocom pro M1, and it's been working for me for the last 8 years, first couple of years on the Triumph, and then I transfered it over to the LT. I've fitted a number of intercoms, mainly Autocom and Starcom for friends, I like the star systems, but don't like the connectors used and if I was to replace my Autocom, I think I'd plump for the starcom, but change the interconnects. For me they are just too tiny and prone to damaged pins, have replace a few plugs for buddies where they have been a little bit heavy handed trying to plug them in.

Others will have their own opinion, just have to choose whats right for you, both in my experience offer good sound quality.

Have no experience of the BMW comms systems, so others will no doubt chime in with info on those.

Well if you want to add a factory intercom as the easiest plug and play instalaltion, look for a used intercom from BeemerBoneyard.Com, LTParts.Com, or eBay.
