I would be interested. It would be a good chance to make contact with other LT owners in the area. There are some very knowledgable people around here.

I plan on doing a 24K service on my bike early/mid August. It will be the first time I attempt transmission fluid, fuel filter and air filter. Oil change is fairly simple, as is brake fluids. What sort of stuff you interested in learning?

I just did this one, minus the valve check, that's the one thing I'd like to do with someone who's done it a few times.
Getting to the air filter and fuel filter is time consuming. Once you get to them it's pretty straight forward.

I need to do Comb 6k and annual. I'd also like to learn how to do the bodywork. I've never done anything before on it since I had it and have always taken it in when it needed svcing. I'd like to learn/watch a 12k as well...tks Mikey

OK guys....I just ordered my 24K service kit. Been busy filling my driveway with dirt from alongside it (so I can put in retaining wall to hold that dirt where it should stay)
I've also checked my calendar, and I'll be doing my 24K service either Aug 16 or 17. Not sure if driveway will be cleared by then, but I won't want to wait any longer than that to do the service. It'll be my first time for valve check, transmission, clutch fluid, fuel and air filters.
Is there any interest for either of those 2 dates?

Thanks for the offer, Dave, but I find myself home-bound this weekend. Maybe I can make the next session, or another BMWBMW gathering.
Wife is werking that day, and I've got one kid too short to reach pegs (but she *has* removed my tupperware before Click for trunk & tupperware removal pics (http://www.flickr.com/photos/26494129@N07/sets/72157606448741063/) , and wants to do it again this time) , and another that refuses to ride at all. Add to that a few people dropping by to pick up stuff, and Saturday is a stay-at-home day for me.
Full 24K/annual service this round. If anyone else won't make the BMWBMW tech session, and is interested in dropping by, lemme know, and I can provide directions.
