my wife is on the landscape committee and has volenteered to work when
they decide what to do. Now all of us men know that when the wife has
volenteered, it means the men also, ( most of the time ). I was able to get
off to ride to the montgomery RTE. this time ... have to wait and see. I do owe gina a piece of pie... but it might be a whole pie store...

As a matther of fact I do...sort of. Insurance just called and they totaled it out because of a fender bender I had last Friday. I totalled by '03 bike on Halloween with 59,990 miles and my '03 p/u on July 4 with 59,995 miles.

I had a blond moment(Hello Pie)......Rode 12 1/2 hours through some killer roads and had to eat BBQ by myself....In Brady Tx.opps, another Hard 8(the wrong one) :rolleyes: Oh well at least no one I know saw me make a complete PIG of myself :D


Funny thing....Last year on our wet hill country adventure...coming back from Big Bend I wanted to take my brother to Stephenville Hard 8 on his way out of Texas. Grabbed the GPS and selected food-find and routed to....Brady Hard 8.

Dayem! A top secret RTE!!!

Well, we had a blast at Port A. The crowning moment was when my oldest daughter sang (????) a Bob Dylan song at the Salty Dog karaoke. I laughed till I cried. I rented one of those lifted, 6 passenger, motorized golf carts in PINK. All the kids were sooo drunk that night (including Sandar, the shot queen, mag) you should have seen me trying to get them into it.... and keep them in it... on the way back to the house.

Well it was another good RTE but all our favorites were missed . . . DAVID, Griff, Steve/Sammie and the list goes on and on. Think we had about 24 or so there, food was yummy (as always) and well I hate to brag but the Strawberry PIE was to die for (and the banana blueberry PIE was too, and the bite of apple and pecan that Tony shared was too and the bite of lemon that Sandi share was too . . .) Yep, sorry all you that didn't make it to Hico missed the party at the hotel but what happens at the RTE's stay at the RTE's . . . Pity. Looking forward to the next ride so who's gonna host?

You just gotta LOVE blond moments (right, David)??? There I sat and sat and sat waiting for you and I just hated to eat all that BBQ while the whole table was watchin (but I did). Just something not quite right about you eating alone. I'm sorry! :(
