How about lunch at the Hard 8 in Stephenville and PIE at the Kuffee Kup in Hico?
Suggested date: July 19th or 20th.
or we can have it at Keith's house in Garland and have Domino's deliver pizza

I vote Keith's house. RTE with a tech session thrown in. I still know how to wrench a Harley into submission.

My vote is what Grif said. Maybe we could get David up to do some paint work. ;)

At least we know SOME of the Dallas folks could make it if we had it at Keiths. :histerica
It all sounds good to me...food, fun, and most important friends (if they can make it all the way :rotf: )

Yeah well we have a heck of alot of painting to do. Not one part (literally) on that Harley that we did not scratch, dent or screw up with our little off roading adventure. Hey, one thing about us . . . Pie Princess and Mr. Pie know how to do it right - ain't no half A$$ with us! :D

I'm in for Stephenville and Hico, but I'm going to need to get some extra insurance coverage, some new protective gear, and an emergency piece of pie to put in my saddle bag, because we will likely never make all the way to Hico! In May, Bruce "Who needs a Schrader Valve?" Coleman caused the Dallas delegates to miss out on Pie (or was it Bread Pudding?). In June, Mr. and Mrs. "Watch us take this Harley off road!" caused us to miss Banana Split Pie. I figure if I ride with them to Stephenville my bike is probably going to spontaneously combust. On second thought, maybe I should just sit this one out.... :p

Now if you look at this a different way.... Tell me what is the common denominator.......You were with Rick when he had his crash in the Big Bend and this past weekend when Keith and Gina had theirs. Maybe we should let you leave well after us to ensure our safety. :lol8:

Well heck, now I gotta stand by my man too! :D I'm thinking operator error. . . NO. However, the city sure needs to do something about that darn curve in the road sign. More like - death trap ahead, enter at your own risk, walk your bike through this stretch of roadway, pee in your pants ahead - something.

How about you just ask that man of yours TURN when the road does! At some point you'd think he would have realized that there wasn't anymore road in front of him! Of course, by that time he was probably picking grass, dirt and blood out of his teeth....
I hate to blame Keith like that, but I just don't have the heart to blame the PIT! :)

I'm still picking sand out of body parts. What is up with that? How many times do you have to bathe and scrub before the sand quits pouring out.
Well I can't blame PIT or Mr. Pie (I have to be with both of them) - it is what it is so we will just blame the person that picked the route . . . uh no names but it starts with a "B".

I just realized that I won't make it on the 19th. It's my baby girl's 1st B-Day! As much as I love riding with you guys (not to mention pie from the Koffee Kup), it's not worth missing her birthday party! I'll have to catch the next one. :(

I promise you, you'll never forget it. AND, they like to do it before they give you a pain shot.

It's always rider error and if the law had gotten involved there would have been a ticket, simply because there was a curve involved. Which curve(s) I'll never, ever say *snicker*.

Well what about the 12th or 26th? I will talk with Bruce and see if those work too. Also Mr. Pie has a training class to take in July so I need to find out that date - funny thing is he was to have it this past Saturday and he skipped it for our ride and BS Pie. Hmmm how did that work out for us?

Look here, you guys better quit picking on Mr. Pie (he can't even get on the site to defend himself!) No law, so no ticket - that is why you don't get them involved anyway. They just mess up a good off roading trip. As for the curve, I think the road was straight and it just moved when we got on it. How's that?

Several years ago, while heading to Stephenville for a RTE, I went down.... on a straight road. The only reason I didn't get a ticket was because I was on a straight road. Sun just coming up, raining, 48 degrees and I hit a nice oil spill. The Trooper said if it had been in a curve he would have been forced to write me for unsafe speed for conditions. Even though I couldn't see the dayem oil spill (see third sentence).
If the bike had been rideable, I would have. The only injuries were a sprained ankle from kicking away from the bike while we were sliding down the road (65mph, don't want to be near it if it started tumbling) and smashing out a couple of ribs when I found the only grapefruit size rock when we slid off said road. I still have a hole in the left rib cage. Remind me and I'll let you feel it.

See how STUPID our laws are! Well we certainly weren't going anywhere near 65 mph thank goodness and I am glad that my first (and hopefully only) experience off the bike was on a grassy/sandy/rocky median. I wish not to experience that again. It sort of ruffles my tiara!

I was on this ride with Mr. and Mrs. Pie.... Met them at the gas station in Jacksonville for the first time. We had left and I was #2 in line. About four or five miles into the ride, we looked back and had lost everyone. Turned around and found them standing on the side of the road. I saw Mr. Pie shirt was dirty and torn....Mrs. Pie had dirt all down her backside. The bike was up and I saw damage that I knew wasn't there only ten minutes before. I pulled off the road and started to walk up to check on them. I am a paramedic on the same helicopter that Kellenbenz flies. But when I walked up, both Pies' were up, walking, and had that, "Just leave me alone!" look on their faces. So I sat and just watched very closely to see any signs of injury. I knew they were going to be bruised and sore, but the longer I observed them, the more it appeared nothing was seriously injured except pride. Then it was decided that the group from Tyler would go ahead and continue and I felt bad, but I had other friends who were meeting us down in Moss Hill and felt like I needed to go.
So Gina, I know y'all were well taken care of. But next time I'm riding close behind y'all with some medical supplies! lol.

Good grief . . . I hope we don't ever need medical supplies again! That was one trick I do not care to repeat. Nice to meet you, hope next time we actually get to visit and we will try not to draw so much attention to ourselves on the next RTE. Yes, I gotta crawl my royal butt back on the bike - that first ride ought to be a bit tense. Thanks for checking on us.
