Cape Fear 1000 Rally
April 21-23, 2006
Although registration does not open until January 6, 2006, the Coastal Carolina Rally Krewe invites everyone on the list to make plans to join us in Wilmington, North Carolina the weekend of April 21-23, 2006 for the inaugural Cape Fear 1000 Rally. The Rally is to benefit the Victory Junction Gang Camp for chronically ill children. We are offering something for every LD Rider this weekend. A 24-hour event; a 10-hour Mini-Rally; a Ride-To-Eat BBQ Feast Saturday evening; and, a Farewell Breakfast on Sunday morning.
The complete schedules are on the website, but briefly:
The 24-hour Rally will begin at 3:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) on Friday the 21st. Each rider will choose from one of three possible starting locations: Pascagoula, MS, Paducah, KY, or Watkins Glen, NY, and all riders will be due in Wilmington by 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
The 10-hour Mini-Rally will begin with rider check-in at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, followed by an informal gathering from 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Rider's Meeting begins at 6:15 a.m. on Saturday the 22nd, and riders will be released at 7:00 a.m. and are due back by 5:00 p.m.
The BBQ Feast will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday evening with rally results being announced, awards and recognition of riders at 8:30 p.m.
