Well, it's the last time Santa leaves a stocking for Colby. He's 17 now and will be an adult next year, living away from home. Seems I'll be one of those empty nesters come June.:) Or is it.:( I'll know after a while, I'm sure.:p

I had a small 138 mile ride yesterday in the foothills and another 125 mile day today. I hadn't been on the bike in almost 2 weeks except for the 3 miles to Scotty's Christmas Party. I love my new bike. Having rode three LT's now in the past few years, I have to say that buying Raffy's farklized LT was a pretty good thing. I'm still learning how to master it.:) Coming from two pure stock LT's, with only a minimum of farkles, there's a lot of distractions now. But well worth the effort to learn. Having a gps and knowing your exact speed is really unique.:p The sat. radio and radar detector are just sick.:)

Colby is selling his 2005 F650GS. He's not really using it much and would rather trade in his older Honda 2000 Civic with over 120k miles for a 2006 Civic. He wants to get a five speed coupe. I'm all for him getting a five speed. I think it makes you a better driver, being more interactive with the road having to shift and use engine braking. And those Honda's have ABS, dual front and side curtain airbags standard. That can't be a bad thing for a college student.:)

We will be keeping all of Colby's gear. I will try to find him a bike to ride by June, around his graduation from HS. I'm sure I can find something for him by then. His mother and aunt's husbands just went out a few weeks ago and bought themselves a big ol' Honda Shadow 1100 something cruisers. They all four plan on cruising next year.:) I told his mom that I am kind of blown away by them buying those bikes. I sure wish they had asked me for some advice first and I would have sent them to see uncle Ted (Shredder). But that was not to be. We'll see. The guys still need to get their permits and liscenses. If you only knew my x wife of 20 years, I'm still just blown away.:)

Anyway, this is kind of my Christmas Season card to the HDDC Posse and beyond. To tell you a bit. Open up. Share. I'm not used to this.:) Have a great 25th of December, whatever you see in your temporal lobe, may it be bright.

Christmas Eve

Had 3 of the kids over tonight with their families, including 5 of the grandkids, from 7 months to 8 years. Opened some presents tonight as some of the kids will spend most of tommorrow with the other grandparents. Had a great time, got some wonderful pictures of the grandkids. Going to the youngest daughter's house tommorrow for Christmas dinner. It doesn't get much better than this.

Hope the rest of the NorCal Posse enjoys Christmas as much as I am.

Merry Christmas to all,

Rich & Margaret

I'll be thinking of you in S'pore as I shop for those Cubans. Hopefully Christmas will come twice for you this season.
