Hapy Friday!
I recently had my ohlins and forks rebuilt on the front end of my 99' K1200LT. Now, I'm hearing a tapping noise on bumps. It's gotten progressive worse over the last few hundred miles. The front end has no shakes and the forks and handlebars seem solid. The knuckle on the bottom part of the suspension above the front fender directly next to the steering dampner can be turned, it is a little loose but wouln't tighten. Could that be the problem, and how does it tighten? Anything would help!

If you are referring to the ball joint at the slider tube bridge this must be tight. In fact the ball joint to slider tube bridge is torqued to a whopping 230nm.

Thanks for the reply!
Is there a way to hold the bolt from rotating? And this is the bolt on the distal part of the forks above the fender, not the tube way up under the cowl.
When I tried to tighten it I had hoped it'd just torque down but it seems like it just turns with a little resistance though...

The nut on top of the ball joint is torqued to 120 Nm with green loctite applied. The shaft is held in place with an allen wrench then torque the nut.
