I'm probably violating all sorts of standards, so I'll just 'fess up now:

(l) Yes, that was me with the K12LT in a U-Haul trailer Friday on I-10 from El Paso to Kerrville. I am not ashamed: I hate to beat my brains out on that road in any vehicle, and I at least could sleep part of the way while Felicity drove her part. Not an option on the LT.
(2) Yes, that will be me, towing the K12 again through New Braunfels: I have to meet my son's prospective in-laws Saturday afternoon.
(3) Yes, that will be me with two guys on Harleys in the Hill Country: my son and son-in-law are only legally related to me--I don't think there are any genes involved. But my son has reason to celebrate: he finished building this bike (http://www.mredtamu.com/cycle/complete_right.JPG) with the assistance of a long time customizer in Fredericksburg (a coworker of his) which I think is a great intellectual feat for an Aggie, and he needs the affirmation. As for my son-in-law, he's the father of my twin grandsons, and I need some access to them.
(4) Yes, that will be me on Sunday headed back to El Paso, now pulling the bike on my "new" Diamond-C trailer (picked up in Bryan by my son in Austin, who will only do so much for his dad). I need it for another drag up to Wyoming for a five day "Yellowstone/Glacier" ride.

So bless me, father, for I have sinned....

PS: for those who have fallen into my sinful lifestyle--or suffer a momentary lapse--the 5x9 U-haul open trailer with ramp is a great field-expedient hauler.

Say 10 Hail Marys, 12 Our Fathers, no meat for a week, and promise to avoid this sin in the future, at least until you need to do it again.

I don't know !!!! A LT in a "TRAILER" that's a pretty bad sin. I think you need to "DRAG" it back to the Hill Country and take ALL us South Central "RIDERS" out for some good BBQ .. Oh Yea and some "PIE" also for Gina. :histerica

Careful in the hill country.
It's Republic of Texas Rally weekend. There will be lots of folks riding out there that have limited experience and possibly even less skill. Give them all as wide a berth as possible when you zoom past them.

Let me know where this "club" meets to do their penance. Not only have I trailered my LT (once, almost 3 years ago  but for the very same reason you mention), I rode for several hours on two separate occasions this week without my armored jacket on. It was simply too hot and I did not bring my mesh gear with me.

Yeah, it happened to me too. Just once. But I have the forgivable excuse of a FD failure 200 miles from home.

Use an enclosed trailer--no decals. Load and unload after dark. Park the empty trailer out of sight. That's what I did for two CCRs. Only Steve caught me.
