Shopping for a new front tire.

Looking for suggestions for online sites to purchase new front tire for my K1200LT. Shop wants @$160 for it but will install no matter where I buy for flat fee. $200 seems kind of high since I only paid $201 for a new rear a couple of weeks ago.

That would probably be a very pertinent piece of information. On the back I have a Metzler Marauder 160/70 B17 Current front is Metzler 120/70 B17

With a bias-ply on the rear, unless you want to change that too your choices are limited. Another Metz is in your future.

If you had a radial on the back, you could use just about any front tire model as it's not peculiar to the LT like the rear is.

I went looking for the Metz Marauder - couldn't find it. Did you mean Metz Marathon, by chance - the ME880? I wuz curious to see what the Marauder load rating is, which is why I went looking.
