Had to come to Georgia today. Thought I would stop by Savannah BMW. I could not believe there was not a dealership in Savannah or Brunswick. Anybody want to start one? :D

Now you see why when I do go to buy one I have to ho north or south because there's not one close to here. I have lived in Savannah nearly my whole life and we rarely see BMW motor cycles.

I just wish I could afford to open one I would get out of the military in a heart beat or let the wife run it.

Believe it. The nearest dealer is some 200+ miles away. Those of us in the Savannah area have to do our own maint. for the most part.

There is one in Charleston, Champion Honda Yamaha Ducati and BMW. They are pretty good re the servicing. The best BMW dealer I have found 'near' is Charlotte Ducati-BMW (actually on HWY 74 east of Charlotte in Mathews, NC)

As far as ordering parts Chicago BMW is hard to beat.

Back home in NC tonight, I did see ONE beemer my whole trip. You might have thought it was maybe to hot.......Not! I do feel sorry for the GA BMW owners though. I bet most of them are pretty good tech's by now..... :D Everyone have a great week! Ride on......

Your not alone. I ride a 150 to miles from Ocean City, MD for decent service. Maybe what is needed is a network of independent mechanics who can work on our bikes. The average mechanic in my area is generally only competent dealing with Vtwins and will sometimes be helpful. I wonder whether they realize what a little knowledge of BMWs could generate in revenues to their often marginal business? Add Guzzi's, inline fours, etc and some of these guys might even get rich!
