Does anyone have or used the Doran Tire Pressure Monitor. I've read the reports on the Smart Tire Pressure system but had not heard anything on this one till I saw their ad in this months BMWONA. Here's their link:http://www.doranmfg.com/motorcycle-tire-pressure-monitoring-systems.htm

A buddy runs the Doran RV system to monitor his towed Honda. He has had it for several years and swears by the system.
I don't think the stem mounted sensors look very good. They are pretty big on his SRV. I don't think that they would look very good on an LT.
Just my $.02

I took a quick look at the install manual - the kit comes with everything needed to mount the sensors inside the wheel (tubeless only or course!).
One issue I see is battery replacement - they are listed as "non-rechargeable" - I wonder what the life expectancy is?
I DO like the display better than my Smarttire - the yellow "low tire pressure" warning light is a little hard to see on the Smarttire... the Doran low pressure warning light looks HUGE and BRIGHT.

There are rumours here in South Africa that Tyre Monitoring gadgets is going to be made compulsory.

Doran battery life is 5-7 years. Replacement sensors are 25 each if needed.

I put a set on my bike. They work great so far. I just put a new front tire on so I put it inside. Will do the same on the rear when I change it. Easy to do just change valve stem that they supply and screw on sensor.

Mine should be here tomorrow. That is why I resurrected the thread. I called and wanted to know how long the sensors lasted and then how much to replace them.
Happy to hear you like yours.
