Well I did it. Bought a new GS at Hermy's on Saturday. It's the low frame model. Bought Hepco-Becker Engine Guards and installed them yesterday. Black caliper mount "Motolights" and "Centech" fuse box get installed at the 600 service. Also having them rewire the accessory plug directly to the battery. This by passes the "Canbus" and allows a standard "Battery tender" to be used. The Service Director said that's what they do instead of buying the BMW charger. Hey, it saved me some money. :) Next up is highway pegs, maybe a seat. Also want a headlight modulator. Any input will be greatly appreciated! This forum is great. Thanks, Tom

welcome, I too just made the leap to a GS, well a used 2004. I am loving it. Its my seventh BMW bike and I just wish I had ridden a GS sooner. It took a while to adapt to the looks but once youve ridden one, its all over. All I have to say is, FUN. Enjoy!

Welcome to the wild side. :bmw:
Kisan makes a headlight modulator that will work on the R1200GS . The model number should be P115w-A3-DHL (http://www.kisantech.com/view_product_pop.php?product=P115W-A3-DHL). It looks like it will set you back $129.95.
