As I was headed home On I-81 from a 400 mi trek Sunday which covered Johnson City, Jonesborough , Greeneville , Newport , Gatlinburgh , Townsend , Deals Gap , Cherokee and back to Gatlinburgh I heard a alarm. It was 3 tones but with no warning lights I actually heard the tones(3) about 5 times. I decided to turn the Comm system off to eliminate a dead battery in it and turned the radio off. Well I heard it again so I decided to get to pull over and investigate the TONE. As I was pulling off the Interstate I noticed the back end wiggle a little bit. Yep , the rear tire was flat (*&!!! 58 miles frokm home. A gentleman and a couple were kind enough to stop and help me plug the tire so I could get to a gas station(thy rode with me with hazards on about 4 miles) where I added more air checked for leaks and took off again 2hrs behind schedule. Whatever was in the tire was thrown and im sure I heard this 30 -45 minutes before. But its the TONE is this actually a low tire pressure warning??? After putting air in at the gas station I heard it one more time and the not again the last 20miles home. When I added air at the gas station it was 40psi I stopped one more time to check and it was 40psi. wWhen I arrived home it was 40psi. So does anyone know what this TONE is I do not have a pressure indicator or light only the tones through the speakers (front speakers only) Anyone have any ideas or know what I heard? If it is a sensor does it need to be reset?

I beleive the rear tire pressure should be 46-48 psi, so it might still be reading low.

Never thought about that I was just trying to get home, but what about the 3 tones?

Either your guardian angel or a giant spaceship.......did you have the urge to make a model of Devil's Tower out of your mashed potato's? :histerica

Glad you are OK.

It may hve been the ANGEL , and I would have left it at that except it did it again after plugging so I don't know , I just hope it reset itelf for the next 400+ mile day.
