Yep, you read it right, these puppies are designed by riders, for riders.

I just started carrying a small assortment of MAD-MAPS (http://www.cyclenutz.com/products/gps_navigation/maps.html) and will be adding more as time goes on, based on popularity and requests.

These maps are cool because they give you scenic routes with turn by turn direction, roadside attractions and the best places to stop, eat and check out the scenery.

There are two basic styles the maps come in.

- The first is the Day Trip map which folds down to 4"x4" and has local day trips routed out on it.

- The second style folds down to regular map size and have either weekend getaways or, in the case of the "Adventure America", one to two week rides.

At the last Rally I vended at the most popular ones were the Adventure America (http://www.cyclenutz.com/products/gps_navigation/maps/adventure_america_best_road_trips_volume_1.html) map and the Weekend Escapes - Smoky Mountains (http://www.cyclenutz.com/products/gps_navigation/maps/regional_weekend_escape_maps/weekend_escapes_smoky_mountains.html) which includes Deal's Gap and the BRP.

Right now I've only got a few different locations, trying to gauge popularity, but if you want something let me know, I'm looking for excuses to add more areas :D .

** If you are heading to the national in Wyoming this summer you might want to check out the Adventure America (http://www.cyclenutz.com/products/gps_navigation/maps/adventure_america_best_road_trips_volume_1.html) map and the Day Trip - Sturgis Map (http://www.cyclenutz.com/products/gps_navigation/maps/rally_run_sturgis.html) . Both of these maps have some good rides that you should try when you are out there.

Here is a sample of the Roadside Attractions section:

I bought a couple of these from my local Dealer. Same price as web based stores.

I like mine. I like the color coded loops and points of interest.
I believe the website allows the download of scenic routes for upload to GPS?

Actually they have teamed up with Garmin and if you go to the Garmin site you can (for the same price as the map) download the maps for your GPS.

Personally I like to have the physical map and then just build the route myself with my GPS software.

Their California and Smoky Mountain versions are pretty good. Their latest versions suck the big one -- terrible routes and miss most the best roads.
