Rear Shock - What years are compatible?

I have a 2000 LT and I am looking a barely used 2007 rear shock. Will it fit on the 2000?

Front shocks are the same for all years but the back is not. I believe that '05 is the break in point for a new part number.

I beleive it will fit. They just went to different damping (much improved) on the later shocks, thus the different part number. They didn't change the frame or swing arm so the same shock will fit all years.
