A little BMW from Radio Flyer lives on with the install of the BMW Nav 3 on the FJR. Thanks to Techmount's stem stock and easy wiring due to the battery and fuse box up front under the right panel.

Hi John, congrats on the FJR! :D
I'd love to hear your thoughts on its good and bad(??!!) points. The FJR is definitely on my radar screen. I'm starting to tire of overly expensive, complicated and unreliable BMWs. :(
I love my LT but want to add a lighter, Sport Touring bike, to the stable. The RT and GT just don't do it, and I hate the few, but significant problem areas.
My friends on Feegers just don't suffer the issues we seem to endure.

While I never had an issue with my BMW's being unreliable, they were getting a tad expensive for parts and normal up keep. I believe most of that is due to the Euro kicking the dollars ass as of late. I did choose the FJR over the Concours because it was proven and updated over the years where as the Connie is in its first year. As far as how they look, there was no contest.
At a little over a week and 1300 miles I really can't give a lot of feed back on the good and bad. It's smooth, great inline 4 and tranny. The norm - You will most likely need a custom seat, larger windscreen and most likely bar risers. There is more engine heat than a BMW but not bad and there is an adjust to airflow I have not tried yet.
Bottom line at this point, I had Rick Mayer make me a seat, I'm waiting for my Cee Bailey shield and I'm enjoying the ride for now.

I wonder if you can have the GPS programed to show little yamaha logos for the Yamaha dealerships instead of the BMW roundell for BMW dealers so your bike wont get confused???? :bmw:
