Howdy Gang!!
I have to take a few days off next week :( so I checked the weather forecast. After Christmas looks good, at least Monday through Thursday is Partly Cloudy (http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/total_forecast/index.php?zone=caz017&county=cac067&wfo=sto&dgtl=1&lat=38.672853&lon=-121.14884).
WE have GOT TO go for a RIDE!!!
Any ideas, any destinations, any day that are good for you?

My BK chapter is having our annual New Year's Day ride to Alice's (SR84 & 35, in Woodside). Guests are welcome. I understand if you'd prefer the foothills or other location; but you guys are welcome as my guests if you like.
P.S. John, it's in Woodside, near Redwood City.:)

Howdy Bob,
I don't recall exactly where that was, perhaps Coulterville? John, do you remember?

Howdy Tom,
That sounds like it might be fun! May the rain gods give the BK's a break that day.
I have the kids on New Year's day, so I probably won't be able to make it. Unless, that is, I can farm Molly out, maybe Jamey and I will join the parade.

Kari and I will be out of town or I'd meet you there. :( Also be VERY careful up on the hill; once it rains and gets windy the coners tend to stay wet and slippery for a long time.

I'm off the Friday through Monday. New years day a bunch of folks are getting together to BBQ and ride at Prairie City (I'm bringing the BBQ and the hot dogs) I'd do a street ride Friday Saturday or Monday...
Set it up and they will come:)

I might even come out of the woodwork for a ride. What is "coming out of the woodwork" anyway?:) Sounds nasty to me:D

Tom,
Sounds good thanks for the invite - If the weather agrees I'll take you up on it. Sound like we'll be able to start taking a few pictures for the tour.
Billy,
I believe we did stop in Coulterville at the old hotel and the food was very good. Not sure if they are open year around but it would be a good ride...... :D
Maybe Monday?
Now who want to go for a ride tomorrow or Saturday?

After an extensive online search. Here is the best I can do...
"Coming out of the woodwork" as in roaches and other bugs making their crawly appearance.

I 've been feeling like a roach or bug this past week.:) What with the terrible California weather and chores and Holliday:pshopping and shipping and Colby having his wisdom teeth out yesterday, I haven't been riding to my satisfaction.
I'm just waiting for the sun to come out and get an afternoon ride today and again tomorrow. I'll be heading to A&S real soon. Need to talk with Shredder anyways.

It's beautiful outside with blue sky and the sun is out. Forecast shows 10% chance of rain till late at night.
I'm itching for a ride. Not sure I should or not. Still fighting with a cold.

It was a good day for a ride, went out to A&S then tooled around the back roads for awhile before returning home. Partly cloudy, 61 degrees about 100 miles - just enough to hold me over until we see the Sun again. When I got home the clouds to the West were looking wet and the winds picking up. Hope it drys out by HDDC this week.

Well since no one responded, I went out on my own on the K12R. Took 80 to the first exit past the causeway, turned left on the frontage rd and over the RR tracks and straight up to the stop sign at the end. Nice stretch of straight road ;) ....not saying publicly. Turned left followed the road 28H past the Yolo County landfill and all the way to 25 (I think). Headed north into woodland. Was going to take River road back to I5 but it was closed due to flooding. So reversed my route and got home muy satisfied.

Just got back from a Foster's run in the delta. Third ride over 125 miles in the last four days. Making up for lost time. All three were afternoon runs where I got home in the dark.
I'll try to make the HDDC this Wednesday. Rain or shine , ride or drive.:)

I also snuck out this afternoon. Took the back roads up to Colfax then the slab back home. 80 miles or so, roads were wet up near Colfax. Got sprinkled on a few times, but it was very pleasant. Been listening to Xmas tunes for several weeks now, so it was nice to rock n roll for a while.
