A new Ride, Memorial Day and cool dry weather, what more could you ask for.:D
I looked in the garage this morning and decided to show Raven around the hood. She really looked like she wanted to get out....

Where to go? Why not go all the way to timbuctoo

Then I thought I would head way down south to the Cape.

Along the way we visited a covered bridge.

Found the Smartest town in CA

While in Smartville I figured I'd ask the intelligent population if I made a smart purchase. Of all the people I talked to no one had anything bad to say about the FJR. Now my survey would carry a lot more weight if I had actually found anyone to talk to. :p

Decided to see if anyone was around up in French Corral.

Nope, no one here either:confused:

Well we just headed on down to Nevada City to catch a show.

After a show it was time to head back in the direction of home. We just beat the train in Colfax.

Then one last stop in Auburn to see what all the Gold talk was about.

Well that was my day, about 200 miles of showing Raven the back roads of the hood. What did you do with your extra day off?

Colby just got back from a 150 mile route. He went up Salmon Falls to 49 to 104 to the delta and back. Said he loves his new bike. Put 500 miles on it this week. He can't take the :) off his face.

John,

Nice TR on the FJR. I saw a link to this on the FJRForum (I'm also Tbird there). I made the jump from LT to FJR in Nov of last year. I have the A version but had the dealer swap plastic with an AE so mine is last year's silver.

The FJR is a great bike. It was great getting ride of some weight and a few problems with the LT for the added sportiness and HP of the FJR. And it's still good for gobbling the miles. I just did a SS1K with 1171 mi in 17hr 45min earlier this month on my FJR.

Congrats John! FJR is one of the few prized mounts in the LD riding community. Well, mostly because Warchild sez it is... :p But I'm sure it's a very nice ride! ;)

Cheers!

WC does have his following of sycophants. But, the FJR is still a fine contender in the sport-touring field. Looking forward to seeing yours in action, John.

Taking the FJR up to meet Rick Mayer tomorrow. I believe the trip will make my rear end a lot happier! :o:p
Today I installed my sliders and a +4 windscreen, the Farkling has begun. :D

Yes good to see you both.
Rick did a great job as normal, I spent the night in his motorhome and we went to M/C run the next day. Great weekend!:D
