I am interested in the wings of gold, My question is what color looks best with a Basalt grey LT? Any one out there with a basalt care to offer assistance?

In most states it is illegal to have any color other than amber facing forward. Specially no red or blue.

I don't know about WA, but here in CA the only lights that can be visible from the front are white and amber.

I think the amber color goes well with the amber/orange lens or amber bulbs you have on your fairing turn signal/running lights. Bike color doesn't matter much since you can't really see them during daylight anyway. Amber is safe to use in any state and besides, they wouldn't be "wings of gold" if you make them green!

Funny you mention green, I followed a friend on his green LT and he had wings of "green" I thought they looked fantastic. Thats why im interested in being enlightened myself. I guess I will have to think about this a little more. I do not want to attract Johnny law any more than I already do. I was thinking blue or purple because of the color of the bike. But Bob brought up a good point, Can't see the light in the daytime. I may need to go amber just to be low profile but still seen.

You know, once they are wired one can always change out the LED bulbs to different colors too. I may have to get a set of green ones to try on my Tuscana Green bike. Maybe I have missed the boat on this one. I recently switched out the orange turn lens for the smoke colored ones with dark orange bulbs. Really cleans up the look. Maybe the wings of green would be icing on the cake? On the other hand, I have mine set up to "wigwag" with the regular turn signals so they alternate orange-orange. Can't miss that.
For Basalt, I think purple would be the way to go. Again, you can always get a set of orange bulbs if Sheriff Coffee sees you riding around Virginia City with them new fangles lights on your mount.

Bob,
Try the green ones, they really look excellent. I was following my friend and kept staring at them instead of the road!

If you're a boater, .....try green LED on the right wing (starboard side) and a red LED on the left wing (port side)!
Since I sell SeaRay boats for a living, I have recently gone this route. Biker/boaters get a kick out if it! Just have fun and ride safe. Merry Christmas.

I just happen to be a boater, I will have to give that some serious consideration! Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you and everyone else.
